Monitoring and Evaluation is an essential component of any programme. M&E structures comprise systems that not only measure the effectiveness of a programme at delivering a particular service, but also the change and impact attributed to that programme.
The Ghanaian programme is monitored through the District Implementation Committees responsible for implementation in each beneficiary district. Information is gathered through the School Implementation Committee, and aggregated at district level. The Ghana School Feeding Programme is endeavouring a national survey as 2010 sees the end of the first implementation phase of the programme.
