A state of the art, easy to use, online School Meals Planner has been developed by Imperial College London's the Partnership for Child Development. This tool enables users to create nutritionally balanced and market costed school meals using daily nutritional allowances as recommended by the World Health Organization. The costing of these meals calls on data developed by the UN's Food and Agriculture Organization.
The School Meals Planner has two interfaces, a Country login and a Guest login.
The Country login is password protected and enables country school meal planners to develop, costed and nutritionally balanced individual meals and weekly schedules, using locally developed food composition tables. To date this is only available to the to Ghana's School Feeding Programme (GSFP) staff to create GSFP specific meals.
The Guest login is fully accessible (no password) and enables users to either develop meals based on the FAO's International food composition table and costings or use the food composition tables developed for the GSFP. Click on buttons below to access the school meals planner of your choice.
Offline School Meals Planner
It goes without saying that users do not always have internet access. To support these users the Partnership for Child Development have developed a offline version which uses microsoft excel. Click on link below to download a zip file containing the offline school meals planners.
